Definitions
The word Reiki is the Japanese word for “universal life energy.” Rei means spiritual wisdom or mindful consciousness. Ki refers to chi, the Chinese word for life force energy.
In ancient India, an Ashram was a secluded place where Hindu ‘sage’ lived/retreated for meditation and physical/spiritual exercises, such as Yoga.
There is also an Ashram life- system, which can be compared to what western cultures call the life-cycle.
